Philip Barker

Philip Barker, B.S.c of Geography, University of Hull, and Ph.D. of Loughborough University, the UK. He is the Professor of Environmental Change of Lancaster Environment and Director of Lancaster Environment Centre, Lancaster University, and visiting research associate, British Geological Survey. He was the lecturer, senior lecturer, the reader and head of geography of Lancaster University, research fellow at Centre Européen de Recherche et d'Enseignement de Géosciences de l'Environnement (CEREGE), CNRS-Université Aix-Marseille III, France, and NERC post-doctoral research associate, Department of Geography. He has published over 100 scientific publications, including 9 in Science/Nature/Nature group, 3500 citations, and H’ index 32. He has participated research activities such as Co-PI Defra’s Demonstration test catchment programme (River Eden) since 2009, PI ICDP funded DeepCHALLA project, PI NERC funded projects investigating east African megadoroughts, CI NERC Freshwater Highlight programme Hydroscape, PI River Ellen/Crookhurst beck project sponsored by United Utilities, etc..
