On Feb. 28, 2019, Cho Myung-Rae, Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea visited CRAES. Minister Cho got to know China’s air pollution control course better through a report, including the major measures and achievements, research on tackling key problems, study on air pollutants in Northeast Asia, and China’s Three-Year Action Plan for air pollution prevention and control. Minister Cho praised highly of China’s efforts on the research and actions on air pollution prevention and control. He said that the report has made him know China’s solid measures in reducing particulate pollution and the endeavors in related scientific research more comprehensively. Meanwhile, he suggested to Li Haisheng, the president of CRAES, that research on climate change could be added in future cooperation in transboundary air pollutants research in Northeast Asia, making Northeast Asia a real environmental community.

Minister Cho also paid a visit to the China-Korea Environmental Cooperation Center and the National Joint Research Center for Tackling Key Problems in Air Pollution Control in CRAES.
