The annual strategic meeting between President Li Haisheng of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) and the President of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) Beate Jessel was held online on Oct. 9. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the latest work progress, the bilateral ecological cooperation and other issues of common concern.

CRAES and BfN have established cooperation and made remarkable progress in the areas of biodiversity and ecosystem services for over 12 years. Building on the previous cooperation, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding for scientific cooperation, aiming to further strengthen exchanges and communications, and bring the bilateral cooperation up to new levels.
