Established in 2002, International Waste Working Group is a non-profit association that aims to provide a forum to encourage economic and ecological waste management world-wide and to promote scientific advancement in the field

The aim of the IWWG is to provide an intellectual forum to encourage and support economic and ecological (integrated and sustainable) waste management world-wide and to promote scientific advancement in the field.

CRAES has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IWWG in 2025, which aim to promote S&T cooperation in:

a.   Waste recycling and energy recovery; Circular Economy;

b.   Low-carbon waste management; Ecological Waste Management;

c.   Sustainable landfill;

d.   Green production;

e.   Formulation and amendment of international solid waste standards and management policies;

f.   Other areas that are of mutual interest.
