美国地球物理联合会 (AGU) 会士、美国地质学会 (GSA) 会士、国家自然科学基金委海外青年合作基金 (海外杰青) 获得者 (2006)。现任南方科技大学环境学院讲席教授、深圳可持续发展研究院院长，东方理工高等研究院讲席教授、副院长。曾任南方科技大学环境学院创院院长、校长办公会成员 (国际事务)，北京大学讲席教授、水科学研究中心首任主任，美国阿拉巴马大学地质科学系助理教授至George Lindahl冠名讲席教授。获得的荣誉包括：1998年美国地下水协会John Hem杰出贡献奖、2009年美国地质学会“Birdsall-Dreiss”杰出讲席奖、2013年美国地质学会迈因策尔奖（O.E. Meinzer奖）、2013年美国地下水协会金·哈博奖（M. King Hubbert奖）、以及2014年美国威斯康星大学地学系杰出校友奖。

Zheng Chunmiao, Ph.D. in hydrogeology with a minor in environmental engineering and recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award (2014), the Department of Geoscience, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Chair Professor and Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology since 2015. He is fellow of Geological Society of America. Previously, he was Chair Professor and Director of the Institute of Water Sciences at Peking University, and the George Lindahl III Endowed Professor at the University of Alabama. He served as the President of the International Commission on Groundwater of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) from 2009-2013. He has been awarded the Birdsall-Dreiss Distinguished Lectureship (2009) and the O.E. Meinzer Award (2013) by the Geological Society of America, and the John Hem Award (1998) and the M. King Hubbert Award (2013) by the National Groundwater Association of the U.S.
